This is a replica of a late 17th-century hunting Sgian Dubh, with sheath and black handle. This is a small, single-edged knife worn as part of traditional Scottish Highland dress along with the kilt. Originally used for eating, hunting, preparing fruit, meat and cutting bread and cheese as well as other day to day general uses too.
